ARC sells used furniture and appliances to the public and at a discount to people in need. It receives these through donations from the public or as a result of its various local authority and industry recycling contracts. Appliances are fully refurbished, cleaned and rigorously safety-tested within ARC’s workshops by its qualified engineers.

Croydon ARC's showrooms are in Grafton Road and St Georges Walk, Central Croydon.

Are appliances guaranteed?

Yes, there is a six months guarantee on all major appliances. If anything goes wrong, our engineers will mend or replace the appliance. Due to the cost in sending an engineer longer distances we cannot provide a warranty on items installed outside of the main delivery area shown below. Small items may be returned to us if faulty.

Why buy furniture and appliances from Croydon ARC? 

We price goods as low as possible, typically one-third of new high street prices. The beneficiaries of this charity are our customers. We give special consideration to people who have limited means, (i.e. those on benefits).

The size of our premises allows us to offer a more diverse and plentiful range of items than you would find in most conventional second-hand outlets.

Are you open to the public?

Yes, we are open to everybody, but discourage trade purchasers.

Are there special arrangements for those in need? 

Yes, there is a 20% discount on everything except computers, TVs or items under £10, for those receiving benefits. We need to see some evidence to support this

When are you open?

St Georges Walk Shop 

Monday - Friday 9 am to  5 pm 

Saturdays 9 am - 4 pm

Main Offices, Warehouse and Shop in Grafton Road

Mondays to Fridays 8 am - 4.30 pm

How can I pay?

We accept all major Debit or Credit cards, cash or cheque (supported by a cheque guarantee card).

Approved organisations can pay by invoice.

Can you deliver?

Yes, but there is a small delivery charge, depending on the area. The postcodes covered within our core service area are:

         CR - all codes

         BR 2,3,4

         KT 3,4,17

         SE 19 – 21, 25 – 27

         SM1 - 7

         SW16 - 20

If you are not sure whether we can deliver to your address, ring us or ask us when you are visiting and we will provide guidance and advice. You may collect purchases yourself. We have adequate parking facilities, and can usually help you load.

Can you install?

Yes, when we make the delivery. We can install cookers and washing machines, providing you have existing services. There is a small charge for this service.
