Croydon ARC on the Bill

Croydon ARCs van involved in the traffic scenes for a new episode of the Bill

Whilst working in the borough of Kingston upon Thames providing collection services for the local council our van drove through the area being used for filming of a new episode of the Bill. The drivers made sure they smiled at the camers just in case. The van was collecting bulk waste including unwanted washing machine, fridge freezers, cookers and furniture from housholds within the borough. When we get the items back to our warehouse we test and repair as much of the collected material as possible so that we can give it a new life and provide furniture and appliances to those on low incomes or on benifits to help them improve their living conditions. Doing this we also prevent a lot of material from being dumped in landfill.

We hope that the van will appear as part of the traffic scene in the episode with our distinctive logo on display but as we all know much of the footage shot gets edited out so we may not yet be able to claim the 15 minutes of fame that Andy Warhol says we all get.
